The European Union has just launched the EU AI Act Compliance Checker, a beta tool designed to help European organisations identify the risk level of their systems and, from there, understand their obligations under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act) regulation.
In fact, the European Union chose Spain, among its members, to lead a sandbox or testing space which became a safe and controlled environment for the regulation of artificial intelligence for high-risk services such as health data, banking, essential services, or human resources.
In this sense, Made of Genes has been one of the Spanish companies that has participated in the regulatory sandbox to develop, test, and adjust technological solutions in real conditions, with supervision and legal guidance.
The EU AI Act Compliance Checker space has emerged from this sandbox. At Made of Genes, we have tested both artificial intelligence solutions aimed at well-being and with future regulated medical devices, and we have found it useful for exploring the classification limits and implementation requirements within the Regulation’s risk-based approach.
